Circle Farm Tour

Brochure Redesign

Project Objectives: Develop a brand identity system including naming, branding, workmark creation. The design needed to be cohesive and able to be
applied to 5 community’s brochures.

About:Circle Farm Tour is a road map that directs you to a variety of specialty farm-gate vendors, open air markets, charming eateries, heritage sites, fairs,
and other special events. There’s a brochure and map for each participating community. The tours are self-guided, meaning that you travel in your own car,
at your own pace, when it suits you. Each community brochure/map directs you from 10 to 20 venues.

Design Process: I wanted to highlight the beautiful photos from each tour stop so I incorporated larger imagery into the redesign. I also brought the
branding theme from Supernatural BC into the brochure redesign by using the recommended typography for the body copy, similar color palette,
and the Supernatural BC’s hand-carved display type for the “Circle Farm Tour” logo.

Final Outcome: For added value, and to encourage tourists to complete at least half of the stops on the tour, I designed a belly-band passport to
encircle the brochure. As people visited each spot along the tour they could receive a stamp in this “passport” and work their way towards
receiving a free item at one of the stops.

My proposed redesign was a finalist out of the original 30 concepts presented to the client.
